We had an amazing experience with Alison! She sent us updates and pics everyday! When we met her before we left I could tell she was very attentive. I feel absolutely relieved to have found someone we feel confident leaving our dogs with. I will absolutely be requesting her again. There's not enough room here to list all the great things about Karla and her team at Stayin' Home Pet Care. Karla is personable and responsive, and goes the extra mile to check in from time to time, especially when holiday bookings are starting to get scarce. She saved my bacon more than once when I needed a last-minute booking (and one time when I thought I'd booked but...hadn't).

Rita is our amazing pet sitter. We started with a blended household of four dogs and a cat; one dog has general anxiety and severe thunderstorm anxiety, two are geriatric and require special care for chronic illnesses. Our cat developed cancer and also needed special care. Rita is an absolute superstar! At this point, she knows our pets so well she's like part of the family, and we are going to miss her wonderful detailed updates and texts when we move away.

It was so much less stressful on the pets to stay in our house instead of being boarded in a kennel, and we knew that they were all getting the cuddles and pets they needed while we were away. We've been using Stayin' Home Pet Care for over a year and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Karla and her team are wonderful! They were able to take care of my fur babies on short notice. We usually take our dogs everywhere and were quite nervous to leave them at home.

Karla, the owner, was extremely professional and responsive from the start. She asked great questions during our meet and greet. Rita, the pet sitter, did a great job with my babies. She sent me thorough text updates at each visit.

The cost of service was clear, and very reasonable. I could tell the dogs were well taken care of when we returned home. Thank you Stayin' Home!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Karla was superb, from start to finish. I have always been leery of letting someone come into my home to take care of my dogs, so this was a huge deal for me. I worked with Karla previously at Lifetime Fitness so I knew she was a great person and when I found out she was the owner of Stayin' Home Pet Care I thought this would be a great opportunity to test out home pet care. There was only one catch...she would be sitting for 5 dogs in one house!

I have two dogs, my in-laws have two dogs and my aunt has a dog. We had a family trip planned so this was ideal for all dogs. Karla came over to visit and get acquainted with the dogs, and they all loved her. As soon as she came over she went into the living room and got on the floor, and ALL the dogs flocked to her and were ready to play like they already knew her. That was all I needed to see.

We were gone for 5 days and had her come 3 times a day. Karla took pictures, videos and sent emails to update me, in great detail, about how all the dogs were doing on each visit. She took them on walks and played with them in the back yard for quite a while each visit as well. She even turned my Christmas lights on one night when they didn't come on like they were supposed to!

All in all, I would have to say that Karla & Stayin' Home Pet Care did a FANTASTIC job and now I don't feel so bad when we have to go out of town. Karla is 100% trustworthy and I high recommend her.

We've hired Stayin' Home Pet Care twice now to look after our cats, and Karla and Rita have done an amazing job. I had hired a pet service before, who did not deliver, so my expectations were not (at first) very high.

Here is why Stayin' Home Pet Care will KEEP getting our business:

1) Extremely good communicators: we can a text and photo of EVERY pet visit, and any email question we've had is answered very quickly.

2) They have an easy to use online system to schedule new visits, or put in detailed information and pictures of your pets. I just feel good that the company has these details tracked closely (how many scoops of food, where the litter box is, etc.) They are REALLY organized.

We've even thrown them curveballs, like our kitten having ringworm and needing application of some drops. And there was no extra fee or complaints about this. All the communication is positive and very "can do" and "no problem".

Stayin' Home Pet Care rocks!

Karla took care of my super shy Tonkinese cat. She spent time with us before we left town finding out about our home and our cat. She is so thorough and really took her time getting to know all of our preferences and making sure she had every piece of information needed in case of emergency.

When we go out of town, my cat really doesn't come out from under our bed. He came out for Karla though! She was kind enough to give me a call and assure me that he come out from under the bed and was doing fine. It was so nice to get that update and know everything was okay.

I recommend Karla for anyone needing pet sitting in South Austin. She is great with animals, very detailed and trustworthy. Did I mention that she did all of this even though I asked her at the last minute? She rocks.
